Last year, just like every year, we went to the city of San Cristóbal in Chiapas to visit my uncles, however, this time it was a special occasion because after visiting my uncles we were able to visit a new place in Chiapas called Chiapa de Corzo. So, I will tell you a little about this place.
Chiapa de Corzo is a small city that is located near Tuxtla Gutiérrez on one side of the Grijalva river best known for the piers to the majestic Sumidero Canyon and the square in the center of the city. We made the trip from San Cristóbal to there by car because we wanted to stop in other places, then you realize that in places like these even the road trip can be impressive and entertaining thanks to the natural landscapes with precipices on the sides of the road , endless curves and cable-stayed bridges.
When we arrived we asked for rooms in an inn near the center and we walked to see the square. We went through the market and bought some pieces of fresh fruit to improve the walk. The plaza is a large esplanade with many trees, surrounded by buildings full of food stalls, typical clothing and crafts. In the middle there is a large monument in the shape of a crown where we had the opportunity to talk with a young man who plays the marimba, the young man told us about the places we should visit and some curiosities like the one where a scene from the movie the lord of the rings had been recorded there.

It was also in this beautiful little city that I noticed that in some parts of the country the supermarket we know as Chedraui in Yucatan is called Super Che and the people of these places do not know Chedraui.
